Convocation - Welcome Back!

Receiver Dr. Stephen Zrike, Jr. welcomed Holyoke Public Schools staff back to school during this morning’s Convocation ceremony at the Holyoke High School John Jinx O’Connor Gymnasium. The Holyoke High School Band and Madrigal Choir opened with remarkable performances. Dr. Zrike also celebrated those that have been in the District for longer than 25 years. These individuals were congratulated for their years of service and given a carnation. (photo, right). Welcome back everyone!

Pre-Kindergarten Expansion
Six elementary schools will host one or more pre-kindergarten classrooms in their buildings: Donahue, Kelly, Lawrence, Morgan, Sullivan, and E.N. White. The types of classes offered will vary, as will the length of the pre-kindergarten day and the eligibility requirements. All of the programs are free for qualifying families.

Dual Language Program Enrollment
This innovative program at Metcalf School offers: language acquisition opportunities in English and Spanish; research based curriculum that is aligned with the district's benchmarks and state's curriculum framework.
