Metcalf School Vision
The vision of the Metcalf Preschool Program is to provide the opportunity for each child to understand
one another as individuals and to discover the capabilities and talents of each other in a naturalistic,
child centered preschool setting. The mission of the program is to promote the child’s language
acquisition, pre-academic skills in reading, and numeracy, as well as social skill development.
Programs and Services
Children have access
to classrooms with
centered equipment and
outdoor and indoor
Educational services are provided in the
primary language of the child.
Therapeutic staff members are allocated to
students with individual educational plans
that call for services such as speech therapy,
occupational therapy, physical therapy,
vision therapy, and behavior management.
Every classroom has two or three paraprofessionals
as staff support.
Kindergarten classrooms have one NIAC paraprofessional as staff support.
