There will be an informational session on Thursday, April 27th at 5:30pm in the HHS cafeteria for parents and students interested in hearing more about the Westfield Promise Program.
Who is eligible to apply for this program? Current grade 10 students*
What is the program?
A dual enrollment program offered by Westfield State University. Accepted students will take one Westfield State English class embedded into their school day (at HHS) during their junior year. They will enroll in several Westfield State classes during senior year. If they successfully complete the program, they will gain priority admission into Westfield State University. Trips and overnights at Westfield State will be included.
If you are not able to attend the session, your child can get more information from Ms. Rigali, College & Career Readiness Coordinator at HHS, in the guidance office.
*This program is specifically designed for students who are underrepresented in higher education. Students who are low-income, first generation in their family to go to college, or who are part of other underrepresented groups will be considered for admission. Other students who do not fall into these categories may also apply, all applications will be considered. If your child does not meet one of the above criteria, he/she may also apply to a dual enrollment program through UMASS (this program also offers priority admission to the college), STCC, or HCC.
