Welcome Back to School Message from Dr. Zrike

Good afternoon,

We would like to welcome you back to the start of the 2018-19 school year.  As we enter a year of excellence through equity, know that we are committed to providing all students with the resources they need to be on a pathway towards excellence.

The first day of school for students in grades 1-12 is tomorrow, Thursday, August 30th. Please visit our Back to School web page for information on bus routes, back to school events, calendars, school start/end times, and cafeteria menus.  If you have any questions about transportation, please feel free to call our transportation hotline (413) 512-5328.  (Also, we would like to remind families that bussing delays are to be expected on the first day of school).

Our Ready for School Pre-K and Kindergarten Parade will also take place tomorrow, from 4-5:30 PM at from the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round to the City Hall.  Open house for Pre-K and Kindergarten families will take place on Tuesday, September 4th at 10:00 AM at your child’s school.  Schools open for Kindergarten on Wednesday, September 5th and Pre-K begins on Tuesday, September 11th.

Thank you for your flexibility as we delayed the start of school due to heat.  Extra water has been delivered to the buildings and fans are being provided to classrooms in need.

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!  We missed you!
