PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Holyoke High School Theater Company to Present Three Performances of CLUE On Stage, December 13 & 14
HOLYOKE, MA — Join the Holyoke High School Theater Company on December 13 and 14 for three side-splitting performances of CLUE: On Stage (High School Edition)!
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by the Wadsworth – the butler (Melina Garcia), Miss Scarlett (Alexa Moran), Professor Plum (Alysha Izquierdo), Mrs. White (Emmie Lundgren), Mr. Green (Shane Bourgeois), Mrs. Peacock (Alondra Ayala) and Colonel Mustard (Natalie Morris) race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
This play with music features live music performed by Holyoke resident Iohann Rashi Vega, as well as a large stage crew that is more like a character than a backstage crew in this creatively staged production. Under the direction of Bevan Brunelle, the Holyoke High School Theater Company is an after-school club that is an extension of the Performing & Media Arts Academy at Holyoke High. This production involves students from grades nine through twelve.
On Friday, December 13, 2019, there will be an evening performance at 7:30pm. On Saturday, December 14, 2019 there will be two performances: a matinee at 1:30pm and an evening performance at 7:30pm. All performances will be hosted in the John F. Sears auditorium in Holyoke High School, 500 Beech Street, Holyoke. Advance tickets are available at the Holyoke High School Main Office and online at https://mifafestival.org/event/clue-on-stage/.
