Family and Friends of the Holyoke Community,
Severe weather caused roofs to collapse in one of our Holyoke neighborhoods on Friday, May 15th. Over 100 families with close to 50 Holyoke students lost their homes and had to be evacuated that night. The majority of families displaced are now safely residing in area hotels. The Holyoke Public Schools are working with community partners to meet the needs of these families. As a school system, we are coordinating – mental health supports, food delivery, access to remote learning and a process for the community to provide necessary donations in a safe manner (SEE “COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE NEEDED! SECTION BELOW FOR DETAILS ON HOW YOU CAN HELP).
If you or someone you know has been displaced and is in need of support, please call our help hotline at (413) 561-0862 for English and (413) 314-3560 for Spanish.

We humbly ask you to partner with us to support the families affected by this tragedy.

We will be collecting donations at Holyoke High School North (500 Beech St.) from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. on Monday, May 18th, Wednesday, May 20th, and Friday, May 22nd – (Look for the HPS white van).

Read this flyer (PDF) for details of donations that are needed.

Thank you!
