I hope you’ve had a great week and are enjoying this fall weather! I want to take this moment to ask all of you to help us with our new initiative, “A Pathway of Kindness,” here at Holyoke Public Schools. We’re looking for people who represent the ideals of kindness and respect in our schools and our community. If you know someone who represents this, send us a brief description of how, along with a photo or video of them in action, to superintendent@hps.holyoke.ma.us. We’ll be sharing these stories over the next several weeks, so be sure to send your submissions in today!
This student-led production features a story written and directed by Holyoke High Class of 2022 Performing & Media Arts student Alysha Izquierdo!
Dear Families, Partners, Colleagues,
I hope everyone is safe and well today.
While I want to share everything that’s happening for our community coming up in this Holyoke Update, in light of recent events I want to remind everyone of something: At Holyoke Public Schools, we expect that everyone is always treated with respect and kindness. Please keep those two rules in mind as we continue to adjust to learning in person. We will get through this together, and I will be sure to continue to update everyone in our community regularly.

This has caused feelings of stress or anxiety for some families, students and staff. Based on feedback, our experience in the last two weeks and the health trends in Holyoke, we are tightening our enhanced safety measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within our schools and to ensure a quality educational experience for all students.
