Connections Before and After School Program
In addition to high-quality academic support and enrichment, before and after school program participants will be able to choose from a wide variety of enrichment activities and daily physical education/recreation, and receive snack and transportation. These activities include, but aren’t limited to: community service, STEM activities (Science, Technology Math), robotics, book clubs, dance, drama, cooking, creative writing, music, visual arts, martial arts. Over 200 HPS student in grades 3-5 from across the district benefited from one week of targeted, interactive math instruction during April vacation. The week culminated with a “mathletics” competition intended to build mathematical fluency while exciting students and engaging them in movement based competitions.

Intent to apply for 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant for Morgan School
HOLYOKE, Massachusetts – The Holyoke Public Schools’ Office of Enrichment and Extended Learning intends to apply for the 21CCLC Demonstration Grant for William G Morgan Full Service Community School. This grant is for a three year period ending July 2021, for $92,058. This grant will partially fund the Connections After-school Program offered at Morgan School for all first through fourth graders. This program is available to all students in the Holyoke Public Schools, charter schools, and private schools. The after-school program for the 2018-19 school year will begin in early October and end in May. More specific details on start and end dates will be published on a later date.
