North Campus Valedictorian Jack Shea
John “Jack” Shea, son of Christopher and Meghan Shea of Holyoke, has spent the last four years excelling at everything he’s done. Since starting high school, John has taken every Honors and Advanced placement course that he could, and has transcended in every one of them. In addition to John’s illustrious academic record, he is a 3 sport athlete, achieving All Western Mass in both Cross Country and Indoor Track. Beyond academics and athletics, John is a part of several clubs and organizations such as As Schools Match Wits, Student Government, and Regional Student Advisory Council, just to name a few. John will be attending Harvard University in the fall and will be studying mechanical engineering. Always humble, John tends to credit his family members for exposing him to the world of engineering and all of the Holyoke Public Schools staff for his success, but any one of them can say that John’s accomplishments and desires are his own, through his intrinsically motivated self. A kind-hearted soul whose success and determination knows no bounds, the class of 2020 Valedictorian, John Shea.
