Every U.S. household is eligible to order four free at-home COVID-19 tests now that the federal government has made more test kits available. Prior allocations had been depleted, but the program has now resumed. Ordering information can be found here.
- There is a limit of one order per residential address
- One order includes four individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests (COVID.gov/tests has more details about at-home tests, including extended shelf life and updated expiration dates)
- Orders will ship free starting the week of December 19, 2022
- Before you throw out "expired" tests you may already have on hand, you can check to see if your COVID-19 tests' expiration dates have been extended.
