About Career Cruising
Career Cruising is an Internet-based career exploration and planning tool. Students access Career Cruising through their HHS Gmail Account – (No additional password is needed). Career Cruising can be accessed from school, from home, or wherever a student/parent has Internet access.
Beginning in grade 9, Holyoke High School students use this tool to explore career plans and college options.
All HHS students have access to Career Cruising through their school Gmail account. No separate username and password are required. Students are encouraged to update their account at the end of each school year.
Features of the Program
Interest and Skills Assessment– a world-renowned career assessment tool to help students
Career Profiles– thorough and up-to-date information about hundreds of different occupations, including direct links between careers and college programs.
Multimedia Interviews– interviews with real people in each occupation, which add depth and realism to career profiles
College and Financial Aid Information– comprehensive college and financial aid information, with a number of useful search tools to help students find the right college and the right scholarships
Portfolio – provides a location for students to develop their education and career plans. HHS students are encouraged to use this part of the program extensively.
Resume Builder– integrated with the portfolio to help students format and print professional looking resumes quickly and easily.
