The Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC) is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of superintendent of Holyoke Public Schools, with applications due by December 23.
HPS staff, families, students, and community members are encouraged to take a brief survey in English or Spanish to provide their input on important criteria to consider when selecting the next superintendent of schools. MASC Executive Director Glenn Koocher has also been conducting in-person focus group discussions with community members, students, families, and school and district employees to gather their thoughts and perspectives.
Initial interviews are scheduled to begin in January, followed by site visits and finalist interviews for selected candidates later in the month. The Holyoke School Committee is looking to make a decision in February, with the new superintendent expected to start on July 1, 2026.
