Holyoke Public Schools contracts with Sodexo to provide school meals. Sodexo staffs our Food Service Department with more than 80 full and part-time employees who are based in 12 different Holyoke school sites.
Our mission is to provide all HPS students access to nutritious meals and help eliminate student hunger.
All HPS students are eligible to receive free breakfasts and lunches at school through the Community Eligibility Provision of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National School Lunch Program. We also participate in the grant-funded USDA's Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, which allows us to offer our students in grades K-5 a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables such as cantaloupe, fresh strawberries, pineapple, celery sticks, and baby carrots, as well as salad bars in all our schools. During the summer months, we provide free meals for all students through our participation in the Seamless Summer Option of the National School Lunch Program.
For participating students only at Donahue, McMahon, and Morgan.
