HHS Dean Tech senior Daniel Garcia and HHS North senior Samantha Rodriguez recently received Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents Awards.
Daniel is enrolled in the Programming and Web Design shop at Dean where he carries a 4.27 GPA and is the top ranked senior this year at Dean. Daniel has spent his co-op placement this year working at the district’s Central Supply building on Main Street. He was recently profiled in a news story on the district website. He plans to attend UMass Amherst in the fall.
Samantha is completing her senior year at HHS North, where she has earned a 4.45 GPA. She is also a student athlete playing varsity softball for the past three years and has also been involved in several school clubs. She will be attending Smith College in the fall on a full scholarship, where she plans to study architecture. Her dream is to design comfortable, affordable homes for people in her community to help tackle the current housing crisis.
