Holyoke Public Schools is asking every parent/guardian to take two steps now to ensure you have easy access to important information about your children at the start of the school year.
Step 1: Enroll in the PowerSchool Parent Portal to gain access to a wide range of information about your children, including:
Grades and assignments
Attendance
Class schedules
School announcements and updates
MCAS test results
Learn more about the Parent Portal and what you’ll need to set up your account on the PowerSchool page of the district website.
Step 2: Activate your account in Rooms to enable two-way communication between you and your children’s teachers—and a whole lot more!
HPS is no longer using Class Dojo or Talking Points as its two-way communication platforms between schools, teachers, and families. As an improvement, HPS is rolling out Rooms for the 2026-27 school year, following months of research and collaboration to select a safe, secure, accessible platform to provide a consistent experience at every grade level.
More information will be coming soon, but the first step for parents and guardians to make sure you can access your account in Rooms. For the best experience, you will want to access Rooms through the district’s mobile app—but you can also access Rooms via a website browser. You’ll find more information about how to access Rooms on the Mobile App page on the district website.
If you are a parent or guardian and are having difficulties accessing Rooms, please send an email to the Communications team.
If you are not a parent or guardian, you will not be able to access Rooms since this platform is only for families. You are encouraged to download the district’s mobile app for access to all public-facing information.
