Thursday’s weather may not be warm and sunny, but the second annual “Rocket Into Reading” early literacy event will still be launching from 5-7 p.m. at the Holyoke Public Library, 250 Chestnut Street.
The program is geared for families with children in grades PreK-3. It will include a wide range of literacy activities, story time, and crafts in both English and Spanish. Families can also sign up for library cards for their young children so they can come back again and again to visit the library during regular operating hours.
Participating families will learn a variety of strategies that support reading with their children, while also learning more about the library’s offerings. Pizza will be served, and each student will receive a free book for attending the event.
If you need transportation to attend the event, please complete this form.
