The Holyoke School Committee selected Latitia Molina to serve as the Ward 7 representative, replacing Ellie Wilson, who resigned from the role in May.
She brings a diverse background in healthcare, earning an Associates Degree in Nursing from Holyoke Community College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Throughout her career, Ms.Molina has held various nursing roles including medical-surgical nursing, Nurse Educator, and Clinical Instructor for local colleges. Ms. Molina most recently has served as a commissioner for the Holyoke Board of Health.
As a mother of two young children, Ms. Molina shared that she “deeply understands the hopes and concerns that families have for their children’s education.” She believes that every student deserves to feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. She is passionate about fostering trust between schools and families, supporting educators, and making thoughtful student-centered decisions that will have a lasting impact on the future of Holyoke.
