‘Power of Parenting’ program begins March 28

Holyoke families are invited to participate in a 12-session “Power of Parenting” program that runs weekly on Tuesdays, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. beginning March 28. Free child care and dinner will be provided.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Sign up here. All sessions will be held at Donahue School, 210 Whiting Farms Road, Holyoke.

Western Mass Families First is partnering with Holyoke Public Schools to offer the program as a way to bring parents of children ages 3-8 together to strengthen parenting knowledge, skills, and support systems.

Each session will focus on a different topic, including children’s developmental stages, parenting strategies, relaxation and self-care techniques, and more. The program also offers opportunities for paid Parent Leadership roles, free clothing from Dress for Success or Suit Up Springfield, and a graduation ceremony for those who complete the program.
