Holyoke Public Schools (HPS) continues to make significant strides to strengthen the student learning experience, as evidenced by many accomplishments. In order to fully realize our vision and mission, HPS seeks to develop a strategy and action plan to strengthen music programming within the district. This includes creating alignment and equity in access in HPS music programming vertically and horizontally to ensure enriching musical experiences that build skills and a love for music, within Holyoke’s resources and within the context of enrichment/electives programming in the district.
The Music Programming Work Group (MPWG) will research, analyze, discuss and reflect on best practices for a strong music program, taking into consideration Holyoke’s context.
