The course selection process for Holyoke High School North is now underway for students entering grades 9-12 in the fall. In addition, entering 9th graders will also need to select one of three three linked-learning academies that focus on a specific series of courses, work-based experiences (such as job shadowing and internships with local companies), and projects.

The three linked-learning academies include: Community and Global Studies (CGS), Performing and Media Arts (PMA) and Engineering and Life Sciences Academy (ELS). Each academy also includes regular curriculum courses: English language arts, math, science and social studies.

Students now in Grade 8 (Class of 2027):

  • Current 8th grade students will complete their course selection for next year in their classrooms.

  • February 16 is Academy Celebration Day, where students will work in groups to select their courses with support from school counselors.
