Wayfinders

Wayfinders works to make sure all people have safe, secure places to live. Our efforts include eliminating homelessness, increasing the supply of stable affordable housing, and helping people buy their first homes. We provide access to an array of housing services that help people find ways to live where they choose, regardless of income or background.

MA Fair Housing Authority

This organization provides free legal services for victims of housing discrimination. They also advocate for affordable loan modifications and help identify foreclosure scams.

Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services

Springfield’s NHS offers a variety of services for first-time homebuyers including classes, financial services, and certified mortgage lenders. They also help individuals who are in danger of foreclosure.

Valley Opportunity Council

The VOC’s Housing Program helps families, veterans, and homeless single adults find housing. They have nine properties across the Holyoke and Chicopee area with different housing options.

YWCA’s Teen Parenting Program

The TTP programs are voluntary programs for young women ages 13-20 who are pregnant or parenting. The TTP program empowers its residents to grow personally, pursue an education, and develop parenting and life skills. The program can keep residents for up to two years and address the many obstacles that prevent them from successfully living in their communities with their families, or in a home setting, by focusing on the residents developing the necessary skills to function effectively. The programs are a closed referral process by which either DCF or DTA can make.
