Dean student measures window

Holyoke High School Dean Campus Carpentry students had the opportunity to help build the Habitat for Humanity House at 360 Chestnut in Holyoke.

Teacher Scot Goulding took his students onsite to partner with the Habitat carpentry team. Seniors Jenaye Rodriguez and Marty Phillips talk about their experience working at a live construction site. Construction Manager for Habitat for Humanity, Sheri Green, explains the project and the partnership with the Holyoke Public Schools. Habitat for Humanity and Dean students are planning more time on site in October as the final steps are taken to finish the project.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for the near future.
