Beginning today! Meet-and-greets and interviews with superintendent candidates

Meet-and-greets and finalist interviews begin this afternoon, with opportunities for community members to learn more about the three superintendent finalists in person and online. 

  • Public meet-and-greet opportunities for brief informal conversations with the three finalist superintendent candidates will be held in the Holyoke High School North cafeteria based on the schedule listed below. Interpretation services will be available in Spanish and Haitian Creole during all three in-person meet-and-greets.

  • Finalist interviews with the full School Committee will be held in the Holyoke High School North auditorium. Interpretation services will be available in Spanish and Haitian Creole for anyone listening to the interviews live in the auditorium. The interviews will also be streamed online and available via Zoom in both English and with Spanish interpretation. 

The schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, February 10 — 5 p.m. meet-and-greet with Carmen Melendez Quintero, executive director of inclusive education at Boston City Schools, followed by 6:30 p.m. interview.

  • Wednesday, February 11 — 5 p.m. meet-and-greet with Jacqueline Glasheen, assistant superintendent at Holyoke Public Schools, followed by 6:30 p.m. interview.

  • Thursday, February 12 —  5 p.m. meet-and-greet with Annie Azarloza, interim superintendent of schools at Northumberland, Stratford & Stark Schools in New Hampshire, followed by 6:30 p.m. interview.
