A shout out to 4th grade student and mathematician Najeromi (Yuyu) Ortiz Merced and Morgan fourth-grade teacher Ms. Leslie Beauregard for demonstrating how to multiply fractions by whole numbers at the November School Committee meeting. Since September, all students at Holyoke Public Schools’ three middle schools and three high schools have been using Yondr pouches to store their cell phones during the school day for the 2023-24 school year. The pouches help ensure that students are not accessing their phones in school while at the same time allowing them to keep their pouch-secured phones with them throughout the day. Want to see how they work? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlZ1tOHSMIM
